Lately, I've been feeling a little unhappy with our living room. You may remember these images shot for Rue last summer of our existing home, there are also more images here. While I love what I did, I feel like the room is in need of a total make over. As a designer I can tend to be very fickle with my own space and I'm often itching to change something. While I don't have the time or budget to do a total overhaul, I have decided to make a few minor changes that will make a world of difference. I posted this credenza I got a while back that I still adore, but I'm thinking I need to finally find a pair of shades to add to these STUNNING table lamps I found at a yard sale last summer to flank either side. My most drastic impulse change is a new black leather tufted chesterfield sofa, and with a hefty price tag, it might just have to wait a little longer. However, a few fun throw pillows won't break the bank. Then I'm thinking of reupholstering a pair of Lucite and chrome chairs with a fabulous white sheepskin. A re-lacquered black console and black leather pouf should complete the look... or at least for now. What do you think?
Have a lovely weekend! I hope you feel a little inspired to make a few minor changes that have a large impact.
